A few words about me ~ not that it would be in any way necessary to know anything about me in order to understand what I'm doing here; namely, sharing art.
All you need for that is to open your eyes. So feel free to skip this part.

As you can read on the main page of my site, I am an artist. Used to be fanartist - but I've gone into illustration and original work, so I've started dropping the "fandom" part more and more often.
So what am I?
Well, I am a pretty normal, even boring person ~ suffice to know that I am a girl in her tweens, safe, sane and single ~ although the "sane" part might be subject to debate...

As for the slash ~ well, I can't really remember how it started, or how I got sucked into it, or why I'm still at it after over five years. I am not even sure I can be considered a "typical slasher" - after all, there are people who believe slashers are only found among giggly teenagers and bored stay-at-home moms... and clearly, I am neither.Whatever it is, it is the main reason I am here, today.
Without the slash, I'd be just another hobby artist drawing to keep my fingers busy while my mind goes blank. But thanks to slash (and the Lord of the Rings fandom, which I got into shortly after the first movie was released) I was encouraged by others to draw and share my work. And from that moment on I've enjoyed showing my art to people, hearing what they think about it, like or dislike, how it touches them...

Don't worry, I'm not going to bore you with details.
But the beginning as a fanartist explains why on this original and not strictly fandom-related site, there are still pictures signed with my alias of "Nellas"... I have simply spent so much time in the LotR fandom, sharing my art as "Nellas of Doriath", that people told me I'd always be "Nellas" to them, no matter what path I took.
I'm actually still quite happy with it ~ it's an unusual name, and it is quite an honour to be so closely connected with one's "nom de plume". For all my other work, original and from various other fandoms, I decided to choose a new alias that doesn't confine me to one fandom only. So that's why my more recent pictures are signed with "Eve Le Dez". If you have been confused by the different signatures - no, I'm not suffering from a multiple personality disorder or stealing other people's art.
Last but not least, I want to say that while in the fandom world, I've made many acquaintances, most of them pleasant ~ and a few very good friends, who have touched my heart, and been an important influence on my life, and on who I am, and who I have become.
I'd like to take this opportunity to thank you for that ~ you know who you are! :)
