One of the few drawings that were done using screencapture references. He doesn't look like Hugo Weaving at all anymore. He's too clean to be at Mount Doom. Yet that was the scene that triggered this drawing. *g*

I don't mind Peter Jackson casting Mr. Weaving ~ indeed I think he was awesome, both as the warrior and the noble Elf lord, looking good in silks as well as battle dirt... but my Elrond is more Elvish-looking, younger, smoother and perfect. Otherworldly, no-touchy Elf goodness. Because with my pencils (and in my mind) he can be. :)
