"Medieval Glorfindel", G

Oddly enough, the inspiration for this (one of a series of four, also showing Elrond, Lindir and Erestor) came from a picture I found on a box of healing herbal tea. The style of that would-be-medieval illumination made me want to draw like that - and what better to use it for than Elves? (At that time, I was still heavily obsessed with them.)

The colours are a bit too bright, but were chosen on purpose. It would be even better done on parchment with gold calligraphy ink for the details - but I didn't discover those until recently, and I haven't experimented much with it yet.
