This is a true example of a "colouring book" artwork - I had the outlines inked ages ago, but never got around to colouring it until my brain shorted out and left me wanting to paint but unable to manage a full picture.
This is not the worst way to pass the time when I'm braindead, I realise. Maybe I should always have a few pictures outlined in ink on watercolour paper for such moments? Hmm...
No idea what inspired me to draw Maeglin in the first place - after all I'm still a Glorfindel fangirl at heart and therefore there can be no doubt that the Elf who betrayed Gondolin and caused Glorfindel to die isn't very high on my list of favourite elves. Still, here he is. Though maybe that explains his scowl. ;)
