"Fencing lessons", G

A few months ago I painted this, so of course it was only a matter of time before I had to paint some actual fencing action... I really enjoyed drawing this explosion of movement, and since I know nothing about fencing I hope that this thrust-and-parry motion is not completely improbable for swordfights. I also have new respect for the people who are responsible for continuity on a film set - keeping track of small details from one picture to the next is surprisingly difficult.

Of course, compared to the other picture, it lacks colour and all the little knick-knacks I like to include in my artworks, but at least I could go wild on the fabric folds and draping again. ;)
